SSDs currently often used in high end device because it has the efficiency in terms of speed or size. But unfortunately, the SSD on the market today have far less capacity than HDDs. But what if consumers can obtain both the HDD and SSD in the drive?
The answer is WD Black2, a hybrid drive that was recently introduced by Western Digital. This new product combines the drive of 120GB SSD with a capacity of 1TB 5400rpm HDD. This 2.5-inch drive also has a size that is not too thick, which is 9.5 millimeters.
But with its uniqueness, Black2 WD is certainly not sold at low prices. Party Western Digital offers Black2 with a starting price of 299 USD or about 3.5 million dollars. However, at a reasonable price, consumers can obtain two types of drives in a single storage appliance.
Interestingly, Black2 also supports operating systems ranging from Windows XP. Unfortunately, these devices are not equipped with support for OS X.
